The "Key West Pink Shrimp au Gratin" recipe alone was worth the price of the book. Outstanding recipe; my wife and guests loved it. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the type font is small so you have to lean down close to the book to read it while cooking. I used a bag of wild rice to hold the book open because it's a paperback. The stories are fun to read as well. I've been to the Florida Keys dozens of times and know the places in the book. If you love "The Conch Republic" as the locals call the Keys you'll enjoy this book.

Love this book,very exciting recipes and stories. Even if you don't live in the Keys this is one that is worth buying and taking home with you! I'll be trying a new recipe every week, I know my husband will love that!
This is a "must have" book if you like the Florida Keys. Chef and Restaurateur Robert Stoky, born and raised in The Florida Keys, is a fabulous cook and now a great author. His book is filled with great recipes and great stories about the food, the drinks and the places that make the Florida Keys so special. If you don't know the Florida Keys, you will want to after reading this book and trying a few of the recipes. Bobby's parents started with one Keys restaurant - now Bobby and his brother oversee 5 great Florida Keys restaurants where many of the recipes in the book can, on occasion, be enjoyed. Pick up the book here at , or as I did, buy it at one of the fabulous Stoky Keys restaurants.
I have about 50 cookbooks in my kitchen. Every vacation or visit to another area, I try to pick out a cookbook that will teach me something new. This book has a slew of recipes that I have never heard of..which is awfully hard with all the ones I've read. It makes me want to try more fresh fish and the flavors will definitely take you to the coastal regions of Florida. In addition to fish, you'll find loads of quick appetizers and a variety of meat/main dishes/sides. I also love the pictures and snippets of the region...it helps you understand the love the author has for the coast. Great recipes, great addition to cooks who like to use fresh ingredients and love good food.
GREAT book. Easy to follow, readily available ingredients, and excellent recipes. We had a dinner party here at the house for some friends that are from out of town, and we all cooked recipes from the book. It was a HIT. Get a copy. You won't regret it!

I lived In Miami for 26 years and would go down to the Keys often. This book brought back so many memories. The recipes are very authentic and evoke the attitude of the Keys. The rum runner is the drink of the Keys. The recipe for it is worth the price of the book alone.
